Imaginators
Appropriate use of imagination is an essential life skill. For many children this comes naturally to some extent however for many children who struggle to be heard within a group environment, the ability to see beyond their present situation or imagine a new way of doing things is not so simple. Some have never engaged with the potential of their imagination, others have lost any ability to imagine due to life circumstances. At the other end of the scale are the children who live in a world of their own and have no desire to engage with reality. By gently balancing children's ability to apply their imagination to their own circumstances, they gain self-confidence, self-efficacy and build resilience. This is valuable for all children and may have a life-changing impact on those who struggle within the classroom environment.
The Imaginator Holiday Workshops offer the opportunity for your child to play, create, exercise their imaginations and grow in a safe, friendly environment which is full of fun. Places are limited to ensure that no child feels overwhelmed or outnumbered.
In addition to being a Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, registered with The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH -the gold standard for hypnotherapy in this country,) The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), and the Complementary & Natural Health Council (CNHC) I am the mother of three children.
I have worked with children for many years using a wide variety of techniques to awaken their ability to apply their imaginations in a practical and focused way. This has taken the form of teaching guided imagery to children from 4 years of age, organising children's parties (fully accredited by the actors' union Equity), running creative workshops (sponsored by Buckinghamshire County Council and the Buckinghamshire Foundation), and working one-to-one with children to effect habit change and building self-confidence.
